Prayer Request from a Reader: Health Issues

Submitted by a faithful reader:

I have been having health problems relating to my neck and shoulder. I was referred to a neurologist because I had a couple of bulging discs in c-spine. After seeing the neurologist, we tried chiropractic care and my symptoms have since worsened. Went back to the neurologist at the end of last week and he is sending me to the local pain clinic and wants me to see a rheumatologist and start looking for/ruling out the underlying cause of my pain. He said he's thinking Rheumatoid Arthritis or Fibromyalgia...both of which are very scary if you research them as I have. I just want to understand what is causing this so we can begin treatment and move past it.

Thank you for reading.

Prayer Request: Finding His Will

Submitted by a reader:

I have a prayer request that all those who struggle with knowing what Jesus wants us to do in order to truly fulfill his desires for us to come full circle with his love and to deepen our relationships with him, find the comfort, the clarity, the truth by hearing and praying for his grace to come quickly and clearly. May he please fill our hearts and heads with the knowledge that he already has. May we do his work and use his gifts that have been given to us to bring others to him and to be favorable in his presence.

Please dear Jesus some of us need to hear you loud and clear so we may serve you and your children the best ways we possibly can, in your name.

Prayers for Work Issues

Submitted by a reader:

I normally don't ask for prayer, but I really need one now!
Sisters, Please pray for me. My Executive Director is a Micro-manager. Her communication to me is horrible. Please pray that she will get transferred (again) to another LTC facility or, she will change her way of communicating with me. She bothers me and my assistant daily.
Please also pray that God will bless my husband and I to build our company this year so I can quit my job by July 17, 2010.
Thank You all!

Prayers for 4 year old with Kidney Cancer

I just received this message from our MUIB Team Leader, Angie Vinez:

I got an email this evening from a very dear friend of mine. Her nephew, Matthew Schulz, is 4 years old. They live in Washington state.

Yesterday he was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Today they staged it at a 3 with lymphnode involvement. The tumor has ruptured and it is a miracle he didn't bleed to death.

Tomorrow morning (12/23) at 9 am (pacific time), they are doing surgery to remove the tumor, the kidney, the lymphnodes and anything else.

He will have to undergo extensive radiation and chemo afterward. My friend Lisa is calling in all my prayer warrior buddies on this one, and I knew that this blog would be the best place to go for even more prayers.

Praying for divine healing, for peace for the family, for the doctors to be alert and do their best work, for a miracle.

Thank you so much for your prayers for this sweet little boy.

Prayer for MUIB Member in ICU

Krista, one of our dedicated  MUIB team leaders sent me the following email today:

I just received word that Carolyn DiBlasi is in ICU. I have tears in my eyes for this sweet little feisty lady. She is very bad off and needs our prayers.
She has the flu, pneumonia, and possibly had a stroke. This would be her third if it’s the case. The last one wiped out almost half her memory from what I am told.

She desperately needs our prayers!

If you don't know Carolyn, she is one of the funniest and sincere women I know. Please, prayer warriors, please pray for her.

Carolyn was recently chosen for the MUIB member spotlight. Here is a copy of my interview with her:

Blog Name: We Cook With Daddy

About You: I'm 62 yrs. old; currently living in NC, but lived most of my life in NYC; Have 2 wonderful sons & 2 beautiful granddaughters. I was a hair designer (different from hairdresser) for 35 years; lived in Manhattan, NY; Hawaii; Paris; & Italy designing hair, make-up & fashion. Now have the blog We Cook With Daddy that celebrates Dads and their kids creating meals and memories together.

About Your Family: My son Frankie (45 yrs. old ) lives in Tucson, Ariz. with his two daughters Ashlee 8 yrs. old, ( born on my birthday ) & Hailey age 6 yrs. old. My son Dennis (36 yrs. old ), lives in San Diego, Calif. and will be a first time Dad in May, 2010.

About Your Faith: I was raised Catholic, though I don't go to church any longer; I DEEPLY believe in God & know how many times in my life He has come to my rescue!!! I pray to Him daily for help & strength! He is my Savior!!

Favorite Bible Verse:
This is not a Bible Verse, but I do read it SEVERAL times a day: 'Jesus Makes Suffering Understandable'
He guards the young; He seeks the stray; He finds the lost; He guides the faithful; He rights the wronged; He avenges the abused; He defends the weak; He comforts the oppressed; He welcomes the prodigal; He heals the sick; He cleans the dirty; He beautifies the barren; He restores the failure; He mends the broken; He blesses the poor; He fills the empty; He clothes the naked; He satisfies the hungry; He elevates the humble; He forgives the sinner; He raises the Dead!
Just give me Jesus! He makes suffering understandable!

Prayer Request:
For daily strength to get through each day!

Carolyn lives a couple of hours from me, and I am hoping to visit her once she is released from the hospital. I am also making her a blanket, hoping to lift her spirits and let her know that we love and care about her. I am accepting donations to put together a care package to send her, or hopefully deliver to her in person. 100% of donations will be used for the care package. Even if you can only spare $1.00 it would be a huge help!

See, Carolyn is on a very fixed income, and bless her heart, she needs to not have to worry about food and basic needs, especially right now.

More than anything, please PRAY!

Wishing You an Abundance of Blessings,
