Can You Help a Family in Need?

We received the following letter from a MUIB sister and wanted to pass it along:

Hi and Holiday Greetings;

We are trying to help put a Christmas together for a family with 4
children, mom and dad.  They like many have fallen on hard times and
they need our help. Her husband has been disabled since 2007 and the
mom can only find work part time, this is their only source of income,
besides things she has made and sold, she has tried very hard. They
are currently waiting for a disability hearing, but it will not be in
time for Christmas to help this family.

With help from numerous women and many ning networks that devoted
their time and donations we are getting gifts together for the
children, mom and dad.

Our next step is, we are working on putting together a Christmas
Dinner and wondered if you would help with a donation of mixes, foods,
or preparations for Christmas day and their dinner.  If you could do
this please let us know, it would be greatly appreciated both by us
and our family we are helping.

Sincerely,
Karren,   karisma_co (at) hotmail (dot) (com)
and
Glenda,   glendacates (at) gmail (dot) (com)

If you are unable to donate, it would be wonderful if you could offer prayers for this family, all families struggling, and those that are doing all they can to help lift their burdens.

Wishing You an Abundance of Blessings,
~Jenn

A Reader Writes: We May Become Homeless Again

Submitted by a reader:

I have been praying for the past year- I am not getting anywhere. It has got to the point where my children and I are going to be homeless again.....
The courts have ordered my x to pay child and spousal support- He is not doing it. I am at the end of the rope. I work 2 part time jobs as well as  my business and we are not making it. Everything is falling down on my head. No money for rent or any other bill for that matter. We are running out of food, and no Christmas this year. I have managed to scape by since Jan of 2009- now there is nothing left to scape with.

KEEP Praying!

By: Lara Velez

There are different opinions on prayer. Some think you should pray once and that is it or you do not have faith. Some think you should keep praying till you get your answer. I believe it is a little of both.

I DO think we should pray MORE than once about something. And, I DO think we should have faith WHILE we pray. God may not answer us when WE think He should or the WAY we think He should, but He WILL answer us in HIS timing.
What does the Word say about praying more than once??

Submitted by a Reader, Prayers for Deployed Husband

Submitted by a devoted military wife:

I am writing to ask for prayers for my husband who is serving another tour in Iraq to come home safe and sound. Please pray for all of our brave men and women in our military serving here in the states and abroad. Remember to say a prayer of Thanksgiving for those in the military that are willing to sacrifice so much for our country. Pray for the families that have lost loved ones that have served, that they can heal, feel God's love and be able to move forward.

Thank you!

Prayer Request from Reader, Secondary Infertility

Prayer request submitted by a devoted reader:

Dear BMA,

Could you please send out a prayer request for me? My husband and I having been trying to have a second child, and have been going through secondary infertility treatments. I struggle with asking for prayer, as we are so very blessed to have one child, while so many others struggle with infertility and do not have a child of their own. I am willing to accept God's will, but would appreciate prayers from your prayer warriors, as we have such a strong desire to have another baby.

Prayer Request from Reader, Financial Hardships

Submitted by a Reader:

We would appreciate a prayer for our finances as everything is so slow right now. If our house doesn't do a short sale this month the bank is going to do a foreclosure on it. We had to move and leave our house behind, we could not afford a housepayment and rent. So many things piling up. Not really gonna celebrate christmas this year other then going to church and dinner and thanking God for that.

Thank you and God bless,
~C.

Prayers for a Father Battling Cancer

Submitted by a reader:

I would appreciate prayers said for my Father who has cancer. We just discovered it has returned and he will have to start Chemo shortly. He is a real trooper and never complains about anything. I wish I had his strength.

While your praying, please say a prayer for all Moms everywhere that need a prayer answered. That they may be blessed to have their hopes come true and times may be easier for them and their family.
